Duncan Willans - Order of the Silver Wheel

Tale of Duncan Willans as was read before the Queen:

Quick to train others and himself We've seen

And what grand muscles has he, at his best!

So great a neck, and has such a large chest

He keenly sees what seeds that the ground shows

His complexion colored red, off his nose

My good herald hold!

This seems a rooster not Our good gentle!

Apologies told!

The comparison was accidental

To continue with his praises plenty

For the Silver Wheel We'd give him entry

Of successes he is worthy to crow

That earlier reference was in the know!

In camp he's known to stick to his druthers

And build fires higher than all others

This Eastern accolade happened this day

At Østgarðr Investiture’s fine array

Anno Societatis Sixty One

The year Cullen and Honig had this done.

Tale of Duncan Willans as was read before the Queen: 12

(An introductory line, though it does have a matched line of rhyme)

Quick to train others and himself We've seen

And what grand muscles has he, at his best!

So great a neck, and has such a large chest

He keenly sees what seeds that the ground shows

His complexion colored red, off his nose

(The following 2 couplets break the AABB rhyme scheme and syllable count for a brief interlude between the Herald and the Queen and are ABAB)

My good herald hold! 5

This seems a rooster not Our good gentle!

Apologies told! 5

The comparison was accidental

(Return to AABB Rhyme Scheme)

To continue with his praises plenty

For the Silver Wheel We'd give him entry

Of successes he is worthy to crow

That earlier reference was in the know!

(This second half of the couplet is essentially the herald tooting their own horn.  Ie. See, I was right!)

In camp he's known to stick to his druthers

And build fires higher than all others

Daniel Duinnshleibhe - Order of the Golden Alce Æ

King Oliver and Queen Grainne this day
Stand in Æthelmearc midst this fine array
And call for one so sly and fine of kit
We are full of praise for one of his wit
Daniel come nearer, as We will it be
For there’s words to say that We both agree
In fighting he is made well acquitted
With elegant grace, earnest spirited
Daniel Duinnshleibhe’s shown growth with his skill
Thus has earned the Golden Alce By Our will
Successful praises go out as is planned
Fortnight and a day after the one and
Sixtieth anniversary of our Society
At Our War Practice midst much gaiety

Talon Van Horne - Award of Arms

From The East Kingdom Tales:

Prologue of Talon’s Tale

There’s one here in An Dub, that Ducks bespoke
We are happiest today to invoke
Certain he will laugh and be of good cheer,
As to this tale, that you all shall next hear.

Here beginneth Talon’s Tale

Woe to the cook, unless his sauces were
Pungent and sharp! And ready is his gear!
Their halls set with tables must be ready!
Brimming savory food, safe and steady
When orchestrated by Talen Van Horne
There is no woe! His food’s fine ev’ry morn
He has been set to serve for decades hence
But now it is known, his drive’s still intense
Culann and Honig Eastern Majesties
On this day of Crown Tourney are most pleased
Use processes and procedures to gift
This gentle with Award of Arms as fit
Talen’s love is seen through what he does neat
As is the bee hive full of honey sweet.

Ivette of Worcester - Order of the Silver Wheel

Donovan! Mengha! Rule by course of law,

Majesties looked at Hartshorn-dale and saw

Ivette, the one whose spirit is not quelled

In face of posts where water will not dwell,

Here she is known as one who quenches fire

The more it burns the more her desire

To maneuver complex tasks, as can be

Finding enjoyment as said appointee

She works for shire and therefore, the East

A benefit to gentle, bird and beast

In this season, on a cold, frosty day

We present the Silver Wheel with array

An done as We have so commanded hence

Ivette of Worcester’s advancement commence
